Here’s a video of me talking about my intersex condition which is Kallmann’s syndrome. I explain why I consider Kallmann’s syndrome to be an intersex condition. Why people are reading the old medical data that was based on assumptions and unproven facts. When they should be looking at the new medical data and the new scientific evidence that is out their. I explained my history and even showed my Androderm 2.5 mg patch and the medication.

We’re all intersex | Salon Life.

This is very interesting and as an Intersex person, I can finally approve something thing that is written about Intersex people by an academic professor and not by a transgender person who gives a whole lot of slant and bias to transgender people and their cause. When I read this article, this was very interesting because this was written about a book called, Between XX and XY by Gerald N. Callahan, an associate professor in the microbiology, immunology and pathology department at Colorado State University. What I like about what Gerald said, is that intersex not only happens in humans, but it also happens in the Animal Kingdom and one example of that is Hyenas. Which the female Hyenas have a  penis like appendage.

The one thing I like about this article is, is that when they asked Gerald if the Intersex community should be lumped with the Gay and Lesbian community. What he said was nothing but pure gold and in my opinion the truth that Intersex people and the Intersex community should not be lumped with the Gay and Lesbian Community. Here’s the quote that I am talking about;

One of the people you speak with in the book claims that “Will & Grace” was good for intersex people, which I find interesting because I don’t think many people think of them when they think of gay and lesbian culture, much less “Will & Grace.” Do you think the community should be lumped in with the gay and lesbian movement?

I don’t claim to speak for intersex people, but I think no. I think that they have a different sense of their world than people who are gay or lesbian. Sexual preference is completely different in my mind from biological sex. Gay and lesbian people can fairly easily identify with the classic binary of male and female, and intersex people for the most part cannot. They have to me a much more complex and graduated series of events they need to deal with [than do gay and lesbian people]. I think that people have a tendency to group all of that together — sexual preference, gender dysphoria, transgender, intersex — and they’re really in my mind very separate sorts of things.

I  agree whole heartedly with what is quoted their because in my opinion Biological sex is far more different than gender and sex. In my opinion, you can’t mix biological sex with gender and sexual orientation. Which is what you are seeing with a lot of Gay, lesbian and transgender people. They tend to mix up biological sex with gender and sexual preference because to them, they can see gender in a classic binary form of male and female. Whereas intersex people such as myself, we go beyond the classic binary form and go into the biological sex and genetic sex.

So this article that was written about a book called, Between XX and XY by Gerald N. Callahan, I believe would make a good book for anyone who is interested in learning more about the intersex community and the people who have an intersex condition. I would read it and even use it to educate people about the intersex community.

Intersex rants

I am going to make this very short on my blog today. What really pisses me off and gets me upset and all fired up about, is when you see online a lot of transsexuals and transgender people who put out their a so called claim that, being who they are, they are claiming to have some biological link. I see this alot in the transsexual and transgender community and especially within the younger transsexuals and transgender people as well.

Now what I am seeing a whole lot in blogs, chat rooms, and forums, is that you have transgender people, especially the younger ones, who go out and put out information that is not true and very misleading. They put out information such as “transsexuality has a Biological cause” or that transsexuality is part of the intersex” or even the more outlandish is that they claim that “transsexuality is an intersex brain condition” When I hear this stuff it just pisses me off because as an intersex person, I don’t prescribe to the theory that “transsexuality has a biological cause” and I most certainly don’t prescribe into the “intersex brain” theory as well.

Now why they put these outlandish, often laughable theory’s and claims out their. From my personal observations, from seeing this stuff online in chat rooms, forum, and blogs is that they want to make themselves look like their intersex. They want to claim being intersex because to them, they see us intersex folks as being better on the other side of the fence or the grass is greener on the intersex side of the fence. They want to claim that who they are has a biological link or cause, when in reality it has not been proven in the scientific, academic and medical community. Even far worse is when you see these people who go out their and claim that their transsexuality is intersex and they claim to have an intersex condition when they don’t really have or they simply fake being intersex and are more transgender like.

What I think the transgender community doesn’t understand, even fails to understand and grasp, is that intersex is not about gender, sex or sexuality. Intersex is about being born with an intersex medical condition. Intersex is about having a verifiable and proven DNA and genetic medical condition. Intersex is being traumatized from birth and being looked at as a medical specimen or a lab rat by your doctors. Intersex is about having your medical records hidden from you and having knowledge of your intersex condition kept very secretive from you. I think and I believe that transgender people and especially the younger ones do not know and they do not fully know what it REALLY means to be born intersex, intersex at birth and intersex born intersex They blur it out so much that they don’t understand what it REALLY means to be intersex and they have no clue on what it REALLY means to be intersex born intersex.

So this is why as an Intersex person, I am really pissed off and fired up when you hear and read online somewhere where some transgender or some transsexual out their claiming that their intersex, claiming a biological cause and claiming that intersex people are part of them.

Intersex in Australia – OII Australia – Op/Ed: The Concept of Intersex Privilege.

When I read this article, The first words that came out of my mind was ” You gotta be kidding me” and “What the hell were they smoking to come up with this horse crap”. I think OII or what I really call them OGI is trying to do is pander to the transgender friends is that they are claiming that and I quote from their post;

Accusing any person of being transsexual or transgender so as to diminish their standing is transphobic.

Asserting that a transsexual or transgender person’s claim to being intersex is a bid for greater standing is transphobic.

I think OII missed the mark on this one and I think OII doesn’t understand that, in reality transgender people are still trying to claim intersex, because transgender people think that to be intersex, the grass is greener on our side and they think that we have greater standing in society than they do. They don’t and will never understand that transgender people will try anything to usurp the intersex privilage and will try to take that intersex privilage away from the intersex people and use it for their own perverted gain. What OII doesn’t see and fails to see in that post is that, to be born intersex, you have to be clearly diagnosed as an intersex by a competent medical doctor. Even in OII’s standards, they still allow people who are not diagnosed as an intersex and that bothers me and disturbs me

What’s also funny about this post is that OII is claiming that anyone who diminish a transgender is transphobic. Well, What about when transgender or transsexual people diminish and deny the standing of biological women and girls. What about when you have transgender and transsexual people who claim womanhood and intersex, in a bid to gain greater standing, when they aren’t either one to beging with. I think it works both ways and I think it’s hateful when you see transgender and transsexual people who are denying and diminishing the standings of intersex people and women. I also think that it’s very wrong for a transgender or transsexual to claim intersex or womanhood in a bid to gain greater standing. When in reality, neither of which never share any history, experience, upbringing or any commonality.

I just think that who ever wrote that post, needs to be reeducated on the science of the intersex and not the socialism of intersex. They need to stop mixing society and science because both are not good and that to mix science with society, when society is not at the level of science is wrong and misguided. What’s even more is that OII’s writings are misogynist, sexist and so wrong. It’s also intersexphobic in what they say and write.

Reblog this post [with Zemanta]

This morning, while I was in the shower, I was thinking about intersex privilege and why some people have it and why some people want it so badly. I was thinking about why intersex people like myself who have the privilege of being born intersex and being born with Kallmann’s syndrome. I was also thinking why people especially male identified women who want the privilege of the intersex when they aren’t intersex to begin with. I was also wondering why people want that privilege of the intersex, when they don’t know what it fully entails.

I was thinking that to me, being born intersex and being diagnosed with Kallmann’s syndrome is a privilage to me and it’s a privilege to being diagnosed as an intersex. The fact that as an intersex person, I don’t have to and I am not required to see a psychiatrist to get treated for my intersex condition. Part of that privilage of being born intersex is that I bypass the psychiatrist and I go directly to see my primary care physician and my Endocrinologist.  The other part of the privilage of being born intersex and being born with Kallmann’s Syndrome is that in society, your more tolerated, more understood and more sympathized than you would with a transgender or a transsexual. That could be because, people and society understand that like Autism and Down syndrome,  they are born with that condition and had no choice in the womb and during the pregnancy as to what they are going to born into and what they are going to be when they are born. The other privilege, I believe is that society gives the intersex is that were given a pass and sometimes I believe were being excused for being born intersex and being born with an intersex related condition.

Now the other reason why I believe that some people especially the male idenitifed women and those in the transgender community who want  the intersex privilege. That’s because as an intersex person, I am not required to go see a psychiatrist, just to see an endocrinologist. In other words, intersex people are exempt from from seeing a psychiatrist and we are not required to see a psychiatrist or psychologist. We just simply go from our primary care physician to directly to our endocrinologist. The other reason why some people who want the intersex privilege is that society see’s us being blame free. They see us as it’s not our fault and as a result, they want that privilege of being blame free and no fault for being born with it. They even want that privilege of being sympathized with and more understood because as with intersex people. Down syndrome and Autism are far more sympatized with and intersex people are on the same level with Austism and Down syndrome when it comes to who society sympatize with. I also see it that some people out their, who want the intersex privilege is because they want the respect for being born intersex and being born intersex related condition. They see it because intersex if far more respected, far more sympathized and far more understood. Some even see it as the grass is greener on the other side of the fence thing. They see intersex as being far more greener than where they are and as a result they try to garner or get the privilege of being intersex or being born intersex.

So as an intersex person and someone who is born with Kallmann’s syndrome. I see it as a privilege to at least being born a person and a human being. I see it as a privilege to being born with what I have and I see it as being fortunate to be born with something rather than nothing at all. So to me, I see being born intersex and being born with Kallmann’s syndrome a privilege and something that I am very fortunate to be born with.

The Intersex Roadshow: Intersected, Transsected: The Intersex / Trans Nexus.

What can you say about this blogger who posted a very misogynist and very wrong post. This blogger who is trans of course, is very wrong on the facts and very wrong on the science. What’s so wrong about this post is that this blogger is trying to claim that intersex people share the same experience as with those who are trans. I guess this blogger didn’t get the message or didn’t even  pay attention in science class or psychology class. What I find so wrong of this post that I am commenting is that this trans who is claiming to be intersex claims that intersex and trans have a link. Their is no proof that their is a link and that the only reason why I think that trans are doing this is because they are looking for ways to Co-opt, hijack and steal the intersex community in the same way they are doing to women and feminist as well.

The first logic in the post I am going to poke holes in is the commonality. The fact that this blogger claims that intersex and trans have some type of commonality is very wrong and so untrue. If you look at the current scientific, academic and medical literature that is out their right now, they are all telling people that Intersex people do not have a commonality with the trans. Th science, medical and academic community can not come to an agreement on the commonality and as such their is no common link. Even when this blogger who is claiming their is a link, their is none whatsoever because until the science, medical and academic can agree on this. Their is no common link whatsoever. The only reason why this trans is claiming a common link is that they want to make themselves look big and make themselves look like their a bigger community.

One of the other flawed logic in the post is that the blogger is trying to say that intersex experience is the same as theirs. When in reality and I guess that blogger didn’t read very well, is that the experience of intersex people is not the same. The history of intersex people is not the same as trans and an intersex person’s upbringing is not the same as trans. The only reason why that blogger is trying to claim that my intersex experience is the same as there’s is because that transgender people are trying to hijack my experience, upbringing and history. They are doing what ever they can to hijack, c0-opt and even erase my experience and upbringing for their own perverted gain. By them making that claim of commonality, that  is one way of co-opting and hijacking the intersex community. It is also in my view another way for them to erase and silence the experience, upbringing and history of those who are intersex and those who are intersex born intersex.

The only thing I can say about this blog that I read is that the blogger who made that post is very misogynist. So willfully wrong and so misguided. The one thing is very clear is that the blogger who made that post must have been drunk on the trans kool aid and must of been so addicted to the trans kool aid. The blogger that made that post needs to get it’s facts straight and needs to pay attention to the scientific, medical and academic evidence that is out their. I think that blogger made that post to co-opt and hijack the intersex community in the same way they are doing to women, feminist and lesbian as well.

Okay,  I got my reviews on the speech I did on my intersex condition and my personal experience on it. I must say, I was very shocked about it and the reviews I got were very good and they were very great. I enjoyed reading the reviews i got because it shows that I can educate, inform and give people the personal experience on what it means to be born intersex and be born with Kallmann’s syndrome I liked the reviews so much that I am going to post it in here someone of the reviews that I got on my personal experience speech on my intersex condition.

So here are some of the comments I got on my personal experience speech on my Intersex condition;

“Wow, what a personal Story and a strong conclusion”

“Very aware of what happened to him. I learned something from him and a disease I had never heard of”

“Very open with your condition, not many people would reveal that in public. You deserve credit”

“I appreciate your openness to tell us about your personal issue”

So it tells you that not only do I talk about what it means to be born with Kallmann’s syndrome and to be born intersex. I try at every chance to educate and portray the intersex condition and the intersex community in a good light. When I do get the chance, I always try to educate people and the public about being born intersex and what are the conditions out their that are intersex. I try my hardest to educate people that we intersex have a deeper and far more personal story to tell and we try to tell people that were just normal people who are born into extraordinary conditions that affect us from the day were born.
